FuMar's new album: Lanercost Sessions 2 Released September 15th 2016 .... see FuMar during their Tour de France 2016.
Recorded in the 14th Centrury Priory at Lanercost, Brampton, Cumbria, UK. FuMar used this venue due to its acoustic qualities .. making the notes "hang in the air". The album is a mixture of FuMar's own compositions and some interpretations of classical, emotive tunes.

FuMar (Phil Furneaux and Krys Markowski) are old friends. They met on their
first day at Manchester University many years ago. Now their deep friendship has developed into playing music and their own style of quirky jazz and blues.
Here Phil (sax and Krys) piano are warming up for their recording session at Lanercost Priory, Brampron, Cumbria, UK. This resulted in a six track cd which is surprisingly called "The Lanercost Sessions"!
The setting of the Lanercost Priory and the quality of the Bernstein piano were the deciding factors for FuMar deciding to record this location near
Brampton, Cumbria. It also happens to be Phil's home town!
The Album is available from gigs (of course) or from requesting Phil: email Phil
Their tour of the Album in September 2016 in France was a massive success and has spurred them to prepare for a second album which will be recorded in July 2016. They are working a new material including some of their own compos and experimenting with jazz/ classical fusion.
